This is a translation provided for convenience. If it differs from the Romanian version, the Romanian version prevails.

What the platform keeps in your browser, why, and what you can switch off. The list is short because that really is all there is.

1. What we use

Strictly necessary. Without them the platform doesn’t work, which is why they can’t be switched off:

  • bm_refresh — keeps you signed in between visits. It is marked httpOnly, meaning no script on the page can read it, not even ours. It lasts 30 days or until you sign out.
  • Preferences kept in the browser’s storage: the language you chose, your email address if you ticked “remember me”, and the last screen you opened. They never leave the device.

2. What we DON'T use

We have no advertising cookies, we don't follow where else you go on the internet and we don't sell behavioural data. We don't use pixels from social networks.

3. What comes from others

When you open a video or join a session, the provider that delivers the video, or the video room, may set their own cookies, needed for playback. This only happens on the pages where you actually open something like that.

4. How to switch them off

In your browser settings you can delete or block any cookie. If you block the session cookie, the platform will still work, but you will have to type your password every time you open it.

What you have allowed us can be changed here, at any time. A consent that cannot be withdrawn wouldn't be consent.

Who we are

The platform is operated by Brain Map Online SRL, with its registered office at Str. Zaharia Carcalechi nr. 23, bloc 1, ap. 30, Brașov, România, registered with the Romanian Trade Register under no. J8/2041/2024, tax ID (CUI) RO50306260.

You can write to us at contact@institutulbrainmap.ro or call 0371 710 020.

If you are not satisfied

Write to us first — most things get sorted out there. If we can't reach an agreement, you can turn to:

  • the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection — anpc.ro, including alternative dispute resolution (ADR);
  • the European online dispute resolution platform — ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr;
  • for personal data, the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing — dataprotection.ro.
